Privacy notice
How we handle personal data collected through this website. Last updated 5 November 2026.
This notice explains what personal data Enquiry Engine collects through this website (enquiry-engine.co.uk), why, and what you can do about it. It is written for the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
Enquiry Engine is a service of Up-Stride Limited, the data controller for personal data collected through this website. We are registered in England and Wales, company no. 16225968, with our registered office at 2nd Floor College House, 17 King Edwards Road, Ruislip HA4 7AE. For anything about your data, email info@enquiry-engine.co.uk.
When you send an enquiry
Our contact form asks for your name and email address, and optionally your company, website and a message. We use them to reply to you and to run the free check you asked for.
- Your details are emailed to the Enquiry Engine team through our email provider so we can respond.
- The form is processed on our hosting provider’s servers, which may record it in their service logs.
- If you email us directly, we use what you send in the same way.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (responding to a request you made) and, if you go on to work with us, taking steps to enter into a contract with you. We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows. We do not add you to a mailing list.
Analytics and attribution (only if you accept)
If you accept, we also load a small attribution script from our Enquiry Engine service. It records how you arrived (for example from Google, Maps or an AI assistant) in your browser’s session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab, so an enquiry can be linked to the channel it came from. It does not store what you type into forms. We do not use advertising cookies.
Our lawful basis for analytics is your consent. You can change your choice at any time: . Details are on our cookies page.
Hosting and security
The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web server, it processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and keep it secure. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests in running a secure, working website.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the providers that run this website and our enquiries for us, acting on our instructions:
- Resend: sending enquiry emails.
- Vercel: website hosting.
- Supabase: hosting our Enquiry Engine attribution service, only if you accept.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards UK data protection law requires, such as adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- ask us to correct or delete it
- object to or ask us to restrict how we use it
- ask for your data in a portable format
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent
To use any of these rights, email info@enquiry-engine.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
